Farmhouse Towel & Washcloth Set – Crochet Pattern

So I made these beautiful washcloths nearly a year ago for a friend’s bridal shower. I thought they were a very elegant bridal gift. I gifted her a set of 4 and wrote down the pattern as I so often do. Fast forward several months, and I thought a matching towel would be a great addition. So I decided to whip up another set of washcloths and a hand towel for my bathroom.
Given the state of the world right now with the awful coronavirus bearing its horrible head, I feel like this is perfect timing as we remind people to constantly wash their hands. And what better way to dry those hands than on some beautiful, thick 100% cotton towels?

Materials:

  • 150-750 yds of worsted-weight cotton yarn in cream (MC)
    (I used Red Heart Scrubby Smoothie Yarn in Loofa)
  • Small amount of worsted-weight cotton yarn in grey (CC1)
    (I used Red Heart Scrubby Smoothie Yarn in Grey)
  • Small amount of worsted-weight cotton yarn in blue (CC2)
    (I used Red Heart Scrubby Smoothie Yarn in Caribbean)
  • Size H (5.0mm) Crochet Hook
  • Size:
    Towel – 23 in x 14½ in
    Washcloth – 8½ in x 7½ in
    Guage:
    7 rows x 4 sc, 4 dc, 4 sk sts (4 repeats) = 2 in
    Worked in *[sc, dc] in same st, sk next st* repeat.
    Difficulty:
    ❤♡♡♡ Beginner

    sk st = skip stitch
    sc = Single Crochet
    dc = Double Crochet
    FO = Finish Off

    • Instructions between [] are made in the same st.
