I absolutely love this color called Coney Island from the Lion Brand Wool-Ease Thick & Quick line. It is the perfect combination of colors for Fall. I’ve been rather obsessed with making all kinds of things in this color such as hats, cowls, headbands, and infinity scarfs.

Materials:

Size:
Adult

Gauge:
7 stitches x 10 rows = 3″ x 3″

Difficulty:
❤♡♡♡ – Beginner

Abbreviations:
YO – Yarn Over
K – Knit
P – Purl
K2tog – Knit two stitches together (decrease)
P2tog – Purl two stitches together (decrease)

Cowl:
With US 15, CO 60
Round 1-2: *K2, P1* repeat around.
Round 3-4: Knit
Round 5: *YO, K2tog* repeat around.
Round 6: Knit
Round 7: Purl
Round 8-32: Repeat rounds 3-7 5 more times
Round 33-34: *K2, P1* repeat around.
Cast Off. Weave in ends.

Slouchy Hat:
Starting with US 11, CO 48
Round 1-5: *K1, P1* repeat around.
Change to US 13.
Round 6-9: Knit across all stitches.
Round 10: Purl across all stitches.
Round 11-20: Repeat rounds 6-10 twice more.
Round 21: Knit across all stitches.
Round 22: *K5, K2tog* repeat around.
Round 23: Knit across all stitches.
Round 24: *K4, K2tog* repeat around.
Round 25: Purl across all stitches.
Round 26: Knit across all stitches.
Round 27: *K3, K2tog* repeat around.
Round 28: Knit across all stitches.
Round 29: *K2, K2tog* repeat around.
Round 30: Purl across all stitches.
Round 31: Knit across all stitches.
Round 32: *K1, K2tog* repeat around.
Round 33: Knit across all stitches.
Round 34: *K2tog* repeat around.
Cut yarn leaving a long tail and thread through remaining stitches. Pull tight to close the hat. Weave in ends.

    Is there not a mistake with number of stitches vs. Decreases?
    48 stitches. First decrease row involves 7 st. Repeat. 7×7 = 49
    You won’t be able to complete last decrease.
