Moss Stitch Fingerless Gloves – Crochet Pattern

Moss Stitch Fingerless MittensHow about some fingerless gloves to go with the Firestorm Fox Scoodie pattern from last week. These fingerless gloves use the same texture as the Fox Scoodie, so they are a great compliment to it. To keep the gloves from being too thick, however, these gloves are made with worsted weight yarn instead of bulky weight like the Fox Scoodie.

Materials:

– 1 ball of worsted weight yarn in color A. (I used Lionbrand Heartland in Yosemite)
– Small amount of worsted weight yarn in color B. (I used Loops & Threads Impeccable in Aran)
– Small amount of worsted weight yarn in color C. (I used Lionbrand Vanna’s Choice in Black)
– Size H (5.0mm) Crochet Hook

Abbreviations:
ch = Chain
sp(s) = space(s)
st(s) = stitch(es)
sl st = Slip Stitch
sk = Skip

sc = Single Crochet
dc = Double Crochet
fpdc = Front Post Double Crochet
bpdc = Back Post Double Crochet
RS = Right Side
WS = Wrong Side
FO = Finish Off

Special Stitches:
DSC_8612_ps_LDC_YouTubeLogoLdc – Long Double Crochet Linen Stitch: Work a double crochet (dc) in the st indicated one row below the previous row worked. This stitch will be worked around the previous row worked. (Also see Extended Moss Stitch)

To Change Color in Dc: Yarn over and draw up a loop in the last st of the row, yarn over and draw through 2 lps, drop the color in use; with next color to be used, yarn over and draw through 2 loops on hook. Continue with new color.
