Honeycomb Ice Cream Cone – Crochet Pattern

Published by

on

I have been working on an ice cream cone version of my Ice Cream Sundae Doll and of course, had to get all fancy in trying to design one with a bit of texture and an advanced stitch called the Honeycomb Lattice stitch. Due to the way I had to work this stitch, the cone worked up too narrow and long to be able to work for the Ice Cream Sundae doll, therefore, I just made an ice cream cone using the waffle stitch. I was still tickled with myself because I had worked up an advanced stitch that is usually worked flat in rows, in the round with increases. So rather than determine this little project as a fail, I decided I would share it with the rest of the community as a free pattern. Enjoy!

Please feel free to improve upon this design and share your improvements! Thank you!

How do you make the color changes in the chocolate & vanilla ice cream? Am I overlooking it the directions? Thank you

I did not write up how I did the color changes. The main focus of this pattern is the cone. The ice cream scoop can be worked in many different color combinations. I did one that looked like a sherbert ice cream cone with only three color changes once. It’s best to just play with it and see what you can come up with.
