The chunky rustic pumpkins comes in 3 sizes and is made with chunky tweed yarn, twine, raffia, and wood stick stems to give any home that perfect rustic touch. These rustic pumpkins were inspired entirely out of seeing this beautiful dark teal yarn with tweed flecks in it. I knew as soon as I saw that yarn that I needed to make a beautiful rustic looking pumpkin with it. There was actually several tweed yarns in this chunky weight, so I picked a couple colors deciding that I would actually make a couple pumpkins in several sizes and colors.
Materials:
- Clover Amour Crochet Hook, Size K/6.5mm
- Charisma™ Tweed Yarn by Loops & Threads®
Weight: Bulky (5); Contents: 100% acrylic;
Skein Weight: 3 oz. / 85 g; Yardage: 93 yd. / 85 m;
1½ skeins for Large, 1 skein for medium, ½-¾ skein for small - Stuffing
- Twine
- Wood Sticks cut to about 2″
- Stitch Marker
- Yarn Needle
- Pliers (optional)
- Raffia (optional)
7 sts x 8 rows = 2″ x 2″

Stuff pumpkin
Insert twine into the center of the pumpkin.
Use pliers to pull twin through center of pumpkin.
Insert twine into center of pumpkin again and pull tight.
Repeat inserting twine into center of pumpkin until you make 6 sections in the pumpkin.
Secure twine and glue wood stick stem to the top, middle of the pumpkin.
You may now add embellishments to the pumpkin such as raffia or additional twine.
